Who We Are
We are a local Construction company based out of St. Louis County. Cudgel Contracting was started by two brother’s Adam and Andy who had a vision of what a GREAT residential construction company looked like. That meant doing things differently. Focusing on you, the homeowner, that wants to update your interior: kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, painting or basements. Maybe it’s the exterior curb appeal, windows, siding, replacing a dated roof. decks, or four season room.
Doing things differently to us? That means specializing and being the best at what we do. Thats exactly why we chose to focus our attention and love of construction on our neighbors. The people just like us, residential homeowners who take great pride in their homes.

When we started Cudgel, we knew that clients want to work with the owners. So that’s exactly what we do. We work directly with every single client! Our main goal is customer satisfaction.
Cudgel Contracting is the preferred Construction Company and partner of SERVPRO, Wodard, and STL Fire, mold and restoration.
Additionally, We are recognized by the Greater St. Louis Construction network, and many more organizations. We work with many AAA, State Farm , Farmer’s and many other insurance companies for Reconstruction in the unfortunate event of a flood, fire, leaky kitchen kitchen, bathroom, floor remodeling and more.
Whether it’s construction or reconstruction. Every job starts with clients and ends with clients. Our job is to help bring your dream home or addition to light.

Could not get anyone to call me back about building a double decker deck with a portion of it being four seasoned. Literally, it took me three months. I got ahold of Adam, one of the owners. He personally came over to look at my project, made some recommendations that we didn't even think of. True professionals and a pleasure to work with! They actually used a picture of my deck in process on the exterior page. Much thanks to Adam and the Cudgel team.
We were referred to Adam and Andy with Cudgel Contracting from a friend. She had a flood in her basement. We recently moved into a historic home in in the Clayton area. Good contractors are hard to come by, especially when you want a COMPLETE unfinished basement framed and finished 6 weeks before Thanksgiving ( This was mid October). We wanted to finish our basement as a play area for our double digit grandchildren for the holidays. We had called numerous contractors's and no one responded. Once we were referred to Adam and Andy, gave them a high level overview of my expectations, they said "We LOVE third spaces and then wanted too know what my style and design goals were. They took that and Andy bright me several options and suggestions that were exactly what I was looking for. I now know what a third space is! Their amazing team remodeled and finished our entire business within four weeks. Andy was personally putting on final touches as family was driving the day before Thanksgiving. There is something about working with a well respected small family owned company. Thank you Andy, and the entire Cudgel team that somehow made it happen!
